After years of people-focussed grassroots service in the political field, Kupendra Reddy was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 2014 until 2020. As a proud member of the Rajya Sabha, his constant endeavour has been to use his position to extend his public service commitments further.

He has taken on a prominent position in Karnataka politics, playing a crucial role in negotiations for a coalition government in 2018 state elections. He has been in charge of Bengaluru urban and rural districts since January 2019.
AS THE MP
He has been extremely active in the Rajya Sabha, raising over 684 questions in Parliament over pertinent issues relating to agriculture and farmer welfare, health and family welfare, and finance. He has also engaged closely with various ministries and bureaucrats, corresponding with them regularly through letters bringing important issues to light. He was also a part of the External Affairs and Rules committees.
